Policies and customer support
The information that applies to your MATWICK order.
Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit this online shop and its checkout pages (the “Shop”), place an order or contact us. It is provided under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Kristinn Ingi Einarsson, a sole trader (autónomo) based in Spain trading as MATWICK, Calle Sócrates 2, Planta 0, Puerta 8, 16400 Tarancón (Cuenca), Spain, email support@matwick.co.uk (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy or your data, write to that email address.
2. The personal data we collect
- Contact and order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you provide it), the products you order, the make, model and year of your vehicle, and your order history.
- Payment details: payments are processed by payment service providers. We receive only limited information, such as the payment method, the last digits of your card and whether the payment was successful. We never see or store your full card details.
- Communications: the messages you send us and our replies, for example about an order, a return or a complaint.
- Account details: if you create a customer account, your login details and preferences.
- Device and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you use the Shop, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 9).
- Marketing preferences: whether you have agreed to receive our emails and whether you have unsubscribed.
We collect this data directly from you, automatically when you use the Shop, and from our service providers, for example delivery updates from couriers and payment confirmations from payment providers.
3. Why we use your data and our lawful bases
- To process and deliver your order, handle cancellations, returns, exchanges, refunds and guarantee claims, and keep you informed about your order: to perform our contract with you.
- To answer your questions and complaints: to perform our contract with you and, where there is no contract, our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example under accounting, tax and consumer law: legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep the Shop secure: our legitimate interest in protecting our business and our customers.
- To understand how the Shop is used and improve it: your consent, where this involves cookies that are not strictly necessary.
- To send you marketing emails: your consent or, if you are already a customer, our legitimate interest in telling you about similar products, as allowed by PECR. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- To show and measure our advertising, for example on social networks: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
4. Who we share your data with
- Shopify, which provides the platform on which the Shop runs and processes data on our behalf. More information: shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Whop and payment service providers, to process your payment at this checkout and prevent fraud. Some of them act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
- Couriers and delivery companies, to deliver your order and any returns.
- IT, email and customer service providers that help us run the Shop and communicate with you.
- Advertising and analytics partners, only where you have given your consent.
- Professional advisers and public authorities, where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
We are based in Spain, a country the UK recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, process data in other countries, including Canada and the United States. When your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
- Order, invoicing and payment records: for 6 years, as required by commercial and tax law.
- Customer service messages: for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and no longer than 3 years after your last contact.
- Customer account: until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Cookies: for the period shown in the cookie banner or in your browser settings.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable format and to object to its use, including at any time to direct marketing. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise your rights, email support@matwick.co.uk. We will reply within one month and may ask you for information to confirm your identity.
If you are unhappy with how we use your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113. As we are based in Spain, you can also contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), aepd.es. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first, so please contact us before you complain.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections in the Shop and at checkout. If you create an account, keep your login details safe and do not share them with anyone.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
The Shop uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are strictly necessary, for example to keep your basket, complete checkout, keep the Shop secure and remember your cookie choices, do not need your consent. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you agree to them: we ask for your consent through the cookie banner when you first visit the Shop. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Shop works.
10. Children
The Shop is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest version is shown below.
Last updated: 4 November 2026.
Terms of sale
These terms and conditions govern the sale of the products offered in this online shop and its checkout pages (the “Shop”). Each order is governed by the version in force when it is placed, which you can save or print from this page.
1. Seller
The seller is Kristinn Ingi Einarsson, an individual carrying on business as a sole trader (autónomo) based in Spain under the trading name MATWICK.
Address: Calle Sócrates 2, Planta 0, Puerta 8, 16400 Tarancón (Cuenca), Spain
Spanish tax identification number (NIF): Z3697042G
Email: support@matwick.co.uk
2. Scope
These terms apply to purchases made by consumers for delivery to the United Kingdom. A consumer is an individual acting for purposes that are wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. In particular, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 apply to the contract.
3. Products
The Shop offers 3D tray car mats for cars and pick-ups: for cars, with or without a boot liner; for pick-ups, with or without a load bed liner; in black, grey and beige. The mats are supplied in the shape that matches the make, model and year of the vehicle stated in your order, so please enter these details carefully. The main characteristics of each product are described on its product page. Images are for illustration only and colours may look slightly different depending on your screen.
4. How the contract is formed
Choose the version, the colour and your vehicle details, then add the product to your basket. At checkout, enter your contact details and delivery address and choose a payment method. Before you confirm, you will see a summary of your order showing the products, quantities, total price and delivery costs, and you can correct any input errors at any time by going back to the previous steps. By clicking the final payment button (“Pay now”), you place a binding order with an obligation to pay.
The contract is concluded when we confirm your order by sending the order confirmation email, which is normally sent straight after payment and contains a summary of your order. If a product is not available, no contract is concluded for that product and we refund the full amount paid for it without undue delay and in any event within 14 days.
5. Language and storage of the contract
The contract is concluded in English. We keep a record of your order and send you a summary by email. The terms in force can always be viewed on this page.
6. Prices
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are final prices, including any applicable taxes. Delivery within the United Kingdom is free and there is no minimum order value. The price shown in the Shop at the time of your order applies.
7. Payment
The available payment methods are shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Payment is taken when you place your order. We do not charge any fee for using a particular payment method. Payments are processed by payment service providers over an encrypted connection: we never see or store your full card details.
8. Delivery
We deliver only to addresses in the United Kingdom, free of charge. Orders are prepared and handed to the courier within 1 to 3 working days and delivered within 8 to 25 calendar days of the contract being concluded. We email you the tracking number within 1 to 3 working days of your order. Full details are in our Shipping policy.
The goods remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession or that of a person you have identified to take possession of them, other than a carrier arranged by us (section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015). If we do not deliver within the agreed period, your rights under section 28 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply.
9. Returns and exchanges within 30 days
In addition to your legal right to cancel, you can return or exchange products within 30 calendar days of delivery without giving a reason, and we pay for the return delivery. You can exchange for another colour, another version or another vehicle model. The conditions and procedure are set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods. If you order several goods that are delivered separately, it expires 14 days after the day on which you receive the last of them.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement, for example an email to support@matwick.co.uk or a letter sent to the address in section 1. You may use the model cancellation form in our Refund policy, but it is not obligatory. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation. If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day we receive back the goods or, if earlier, 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have sent them back. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which you tell us that you are cancelling the contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. We bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
11. Your statutory rights
The goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If they are not, you are entitled to remedies free of charge: within 30 days of delivery you can reject the goods and get a full refund; after that, or if you prefer, you can ask for a repair or a replacement; and if a repair or replacement is not possible, is not carried out within a reasonable time or does not fix the problem, you can ask for a price reduction or reject the goods for a refund. If a fault appears within 6 months of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we prove otherwise. You can bring a claim for up to 6 years from delivery (5 years in Scotland).
To report a fault, email support@matwick.co.uk with your order number and a few photos. This is a summary of your key statutory rights; for detailed information, visit Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk).
12. 3-year guarantee
In addition to your statutory rights, the seller offers a guarantee on the mats for 3 years from delivery. The guarantor is Kristinn Ingi Einarsson, trading as MATWICK, Calle Sócrates 2, Planta 0, Puerta 8, 16400 Tarancón (Cuenca), Spain, email support@matwick.co.uk.
The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship that appear with normal use in the vehicle for which the mats were ordered, for deliveries in the United Kingdom. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse. If a defect covered by the guarantee appears, we will replace the mats free of charge or, if you prefer, refund the price you paid. To make a claim, email support@matwick.co.uk with your order number and a few photos of the defect.
The guarantee is free of charge and does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which always remain available to you free of charge.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Personal data
How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.
15. Customer service and complaints
For help, information about an order or complaints, email support@matwick.co.uk, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm (UK time). We normally reply within 24 to 48 working hours.
16. Dispute resolution
We are not obliged to use, and do not currently use, an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you can get free, impartial advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk). You can always bring a claim before the courts.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom where you live (England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland), and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of that part of the United Kingdom.
18. Changes
We may change these terms for future orders. Each order is governed by the version in force when it was placed.
Last updated: 3 November 2026.
Returns and refunds
You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange your mats, with free return delivery. This is a commercial condition we offer voluntarily, in addition to your 14-day legal right to cancel, which it does not limit.
In short
- Period: 30 calendar days from delivery.
- Free exchange: another colour, another version (for example with a boot liner) or another vehicle model.
- Free return: we pay for the return delivery.
- Reason: you do not need to give one.
- Refund: the full amount you paid, to the payment method used for the purchase.
How to request a return or exchange
Email support@matwick.co.uk with your order number and tell us what you would like to return or exchange. In our reply, we send you the return address and the instructions for the free return delivery. The return address is not the seller’s address shown in our Legal notice, which is why we give it to you at that point.
After telling us about the return, please send the mats within 14 days. The deadline is met if you hand them to the courier before it expires.
Condition of the mats
You can place the mats in your vehicle to check their shape and fit, as you would in a shop. During the 14-day legal cancellation period, you are only liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. For returns and exchanges requested from day 15 to day 30, which we offer voluntarily, the mats must be clean, complete and not used while driving, ideally in their original packaging.
When you get your refund
We refund you without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of the day we receive the mats back or, if earlier, the day you provide evidence that you have sent them back. The refund is made to the payment method you used for the purchase, at no cost to you. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a few extra days for the money to appear in your account.
Your legal right to cancel
Regardless of our 30-day policy, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods; if your order arrives in several parcels, it ends 14 days after the day you receive the last one.
To cancel, simply tell us clearly that you have decided to cancel: by email to support@matwick.co.uk, by letter to the seller’s address, or by using the model cancellation form below, which is optional. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your communication before the period expires.
If you cancel, we refund all payments received from you, including any delivery costs, within the time limits above. We bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You must send the goods back without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of telling us that you are cancelling.
Our mats are chosen from the models available for each vehicle make, model and year. They are not made to your specifications or personalised, so the right to cancel applies in full. Our 30-day policy extends this right and does not limit it: where the two overlap, whichever condition is more favourable to you applies.
Faulty, damaged or not as described
In addition to returns, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply: the mats must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they arrive damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, simply email support@matwick.co.uk with your order number and a few photos. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject them for a full refund; after that, or if you prefer, you are entitled to a free repair or replacement and, if that is not possible or does not fix the problem, to a price reduction or a refund. These rights are in addition to our 30-day returns policy and are not limited by it.
The seller also offers a 3-year guarantee on the mats against defects in materials and workmanship, described in our Terms of service. It is in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.
Model cancellation form
